I have had both. It comes down to your height, weight, how you travel with the kayak, how you store the kayak and what waters you fish mainly. Then lastly which one would fit your needs the best. I love the 11.5 but if I was a bigger guy, I’d go 13.5. But it’s big and bulky compared to the 11.5 so hauling it is different. The 11.5 turns easier and is more manageable too but the 13.5 have much more room.

5’10”, 225. Shed stored, pick up bed travel, mainly fish the Susquehanna River and a few small lakes.

@@300hiker you would be more comfortable in the 13.5 I’d think but the 11.5 maneuvers easier for the river. See if a local dealer has one you can sit in for sure

That sounds cool! I love that everyone finds their own way that works for them with kayak rigging:) I personally love the cellblock because I can remove the whole system and place it on another kayak in about 30 seconds while on the water. For me, that is important with how I switch kayaks very often

Seat is amazing! Cushion is on the back for a reason. I wear an inflatable PFD sometimes and other times I wear an NRS chinook PFD. The chinook has a back flotation piece and since I am short, the cushion helps my lower back since the PFD is on my upper back only. Also, what’s wrong with being more comfortable when I spend 12 hours or more in my seat very often? 😂

I’ve duck hunted out of mine plenty of times! They make blinds for kayaks too

@TheBassquatchHunter , does it work nice? Just be me and dog, basically floating/paddling with current shooting what we jump. Will that thing do the job?....looks like it will. Just wondering. Thanks....oh and which model do you have?

@@outdoorrn2980 I have Hunted out of the big fish 103, big fish 105, seastream angler, feelfree dorado and feelfree lure. They were all nice and are all offered in a sand camo that helps a lot as well. I currently use the moken 10 PDL but would take the pedal drive out or suggest the non pedal drive version for duck hunting

Between 155-160 depending on how big of a fish I’m holding 😉

I would email feelfree through their site and ask if the sonar pod for the lure will fit in the moken for that particular purpose. If I can find one of my pods in my garage, I’ll try to check for you and update you here too:)

Absolutely correct. The Moken 10PDL would be best for you based on that. The ultimate mix would be adding the pedal drive to your lure 11.5, but if you want to go lighter and easier to move around, the Moken 10 is the answer :)

I would look at the moken 10 or 12.5 pdl is definitely closer to the lure. I would look at the Moken 10PDL for sure!

@@TheBassquatchHunter I want to stand still so worried the moken 10 might be a downgrade in stability. So looking at Moken 12.5 pdl or the sea stream angler. Or just getting the over drive system for my lure since I’m happy with its stability and size. 12.5 feels too long for my applications.

@@zackmorehousewhere are you located? I highly recommend trying the moken 10 first. I have had some big guys in the Moken 10 and the stability is amazing. Even while standing. I would stay away from the Moken 12.5 of those 3 since it is the least stable of the options while standing. The moken 10 and seastream are both very stable. The Moken 10 is comparable to the 11.5 lure. But adding the drive to the lure will probably be the best bet and a little cheaper than buying a new kayak

@@zackmorehouse the moken 10 is much more stable than the moken 12.5. The lure 11.5 is a tad more stable than the moken 10, but they are comparable.

They are very different platforms. I’d recommend trying them both to see which fits. For me, in order the moken. It’s faster, lighter and more manageable.

@@TheBassquatchHunter I grabbed a few of the new Revo Gen 5 baitcasters and spinning reels and love them. Figured the Zenon had to be incredible. The Zata looks neat too

@@jwill227 the Zata is my favorite for a slower reel compared to the new revo. I love my revo’s but they are too fast for some stuff. The Zata is a perfect compliment. The xenon is a monster for sure though

Well, all depends on your set up with the camper shell. I load mine very easily on my cap topper and I’m a small dude. I will make a video of how I load it and post it soon:) The seastream angler is a sweet boat. It’s more comparable to the Moken 12.5. The seastream is wider and more stable than the Moken 12.5 but not as stable as the Moken 10. The seastream is not as fast and nimble as the Moken 12.5 and the Moken has the built in wheel and is built a tad better in my opinion.

I wish someone will come up with a 3D track for the rod holders. I don’t use mines enough so would love to replace it with tracks. I know Navarre Kayak Fishing makes them for the old town PDL but I wish they did for feel free kayaks too. I would totally buy it to replace my rod holders. Love the video though.

@@fishingismydrug1 completely depends on you and your body type, hauling, storage, water types etc. personally I prefer the moken 10 over the seastream but before the Moken 10PDL came out, I would have definitely suggested the seastream.

All based on the angler and hauling, storage and uses.. for me personally o would put moken 10 first, 12 then seastream. But moken 12 and seastream are both tied for second

Thank you! Tough call. Very different kayaks and both extremely stable. The 108 is bulkier and bigger.. but the dorado is a much better kayak.. I would suggest you sat in both to see what fits you better. One will definitely fit you better than the other
